» Leo's answers just keep coming!! More fan questions... 19/08/2008

Thanks for all your feedback, though I'm noticing that many bad apples are spoiling the fine crop of messages we're getting. I'm determined not to introduce censorship - I'd hate that - but for all those who wish to abuse the message board, I'd only warn you of the wrath of the dedicated fans. If you want to play tough, they'll certainly prove tougher..!

As for myself and the moderators - we'll remove and keep on removing abusive messengers, but it's an open forum and these idiots will always get in, especially at night when Sydney's sleeping and the rest of the world is awake. It's pretty cowardly and offensive to disguise yourselves by using somebody else's name too, and please be aware that the moderators here at Universal are young people, girls - so please don't get crude.

Okay, it's up to you, this is your site and I can only request from you decent behaviour, clear questions and short succinct messages.

It's not meant to be solely a conversation board or chat site either, so please point your questions and comments to me and the moderators and be aware of everyone who's listening to you. Also please don't set up little private groups that only talk to each other here - use your emails for that.

Good behavior creates good forums - so, as I say, it's up to you...

On a positive note, it's been great to welcome so many visitors from all around the world. Like the Olympics it proves we're all not so different! The re-designed site has been up for nearly four months now and every now and then we aim to add more details and info to it.

Please check out the Biography section, which some of you long time LS.COM visitors will recognize is a re-write of "Leo's Story" on the old site. It's been completely re-vamped and updated and if you click on the highlighted words pictures will appear. There are 90 of them in total!

Okay, here's the latest round of answers from me to your questions... Keep 'em coming and we'll talk again in a month's time.

I'm very busy right now preparing for the 'An Evening With Leo' shows, which kick off at Sydney's beautiful State Theatre on Saturday 6th of September. It's going to an exciting night and I do hope to see some of you there.

Thank you all for your patience and understanding, and your loyal support - and bye for now....

Leo.

Hi Leo, I recall once when I was a member of the Leo Sayer fanclub you had going before going onto the world wide internet. Well, I asked whether there was any chance of having your original television shows put onto DVD so us true, devoted Leo Sayer fans would be able to own a copy. It would be nice to have. I did try to find out who owned the rights of your shows and as Alan and Jane Sutton said, if we can't find the place who owned them then unfortunately they'll be lost for ever. And sadly at that time, I didn't see any of your television shows but I learnt about them from when you said on Classic Gold. Do you think it would be possible to have a DVD of them and also I had a thought do you think it would be Shepherds Bush Empire who would own the rights of your television shows and another question do you still hear from Alan Sutton? I recall I was introduced to him the second time I met you. Its nice to know we're writing to you and that you read our messages. Thank you Leo Sayer.

Hi Leo, here's a joint question. I have been asked to ask you on behalf of a friend of mine who's also a Leo Sayer fan - Would you ever consider publishing a Leo Sayer calendar for 2009/2010? It would be brilliant to have a Leo Sayer calender other stars have them and it would be good to have one of you sold in shops and on the web etc...It would be brilliant to have a pic of Leo Sayer for each of the twelve months a year different scenes with you in Sydney/Australia. That would be good.

By: CC at 14/08/2008 05:33:12
here here RB, yes you're exactly right there - i loves leo sayer too. lets do what who i think it was leo told me once to do, and that's to ignore all condemnations need and that way we'll rise above the rest and the baddies will be pushed down and leo will win every step of the way. also, leo i've had a plot for your musical - c what u think to this idea. its based on you of course and that's it could be about a small boy determined to fight his way into the music world - he goes to live on a houseboat for a while, and another thought you could call the musical 'Don't Wait Until Tomorrow', you could include your childhood days from shoreham and maybe include some of the devoted fans you've met would love to know what you think to my idea leo?

By: RB at 14/08/2008 04:55:51

By: at 13/08/2008 18:56:13
Leo, one of the actors could also perhaps use the clowns costume in the musical too. just an idea.

By: CHARLOTTE at 13/08/2008 02:20:07
Leo I've got a big suggestion for you and I think you should seriously think about it. You say about the new melodies turning your songs into a musical which tells the story about your life well why don't you actually write a musical get some actors together have them auditioned to perform your songs and lets see a Leo Sayer musical at the pictures that would be brilliant. I'll help you with it. You've already done the right thing getting what you call the London Strings Orchestra to perform the melodies now all you need is some actors to perform the stories from your songs. Select the songs you'd use for the musical one's for example like 'The Show Must Go On', 'When I Need You', 'You Make Me Feel Like Dancing' etc...I for one would think that would be really good and I'm offering to help you out on it my email address is charlottecoates1@btinternet.com what do you think to that idea Leo?

By: JIM HILL at 12/08/2008 20:56:07
When and where can I see you perform? In Melbourne? Best songwriter EVER! Endless Flight does it for me on many levels!

To whom it may concern, My name is David Agius and I am writing this email to you from Malta. I lived in Australia for 30 years between 1963- 1993. I have been hooked on Leo Sayer music since the mid 70's since I heard about him for the first time. When I lived in Australia I used to do radio programs, which I always used to include Leo Sayer music.Once a year, I also used to do the Leo Sayer program, which used to include his life story plus his records. The program used to go down extremly well with the listeners. Here in Malta I do radio programs consisting of 50's, 60's 70's 80's and country music, especially Leo Sayer kind of music.I still do a program once a year about Leo Sayer here also, and it also is enjoyed by my listeners. I will be most obliged if you could send me a photograph, possibly signed by Leo Sayer so that I can hang it with the rest of my collection in my records room. Thank you Leo, for all the contribution you had given to the music world, and all the happiness you have brought into our lives My postal address is: David Agius 21 Triq Is- Salvja Zonqor Point Marsascala ZBR 09 Malta Hope to hear from you soon. LEO SAYER NUMBER 1 FAN IN MALTA, David Agius

By: C at 11/08/2008 00:37:33
Leo mimes in every show, I wouldn't say that but yes Leo's influenced by the late French mimist Marcel Marceau. You only have to watch Leo Sayer on Burtbacharach and Hal David DVD where Leo performs on track 8 a wonderful little rendition of the hit song Always Something There To Remind Me, see the wonderful hand movement Leo performs perfect timing at the end of that song, and I think Leo's version of that song is the best. I recall when I was at his show in Branigans Night Club Blackpool, he thought he was having trouble with the amps/microphone and I recall Leo asked us all if we could hear him alright and of course too right, I called out 'Yes'....Leo yodels too, he did that at Brannigans before leaping into the audience on his right hand side. I knew who is was looking for, and he eventually found me appropiately singing 'When I Need You'.

By: BRUCE HARRIS at 11/08/2008 00:35:44

Anyway as long as you're still enjoying what your doing... KEEP Going :-) Also the new arrangments are very tasty! And finally good to see you're living in the lucky country at last... pop in and say g'day when your next up in Alice Springs! Cheers, Peter, Liese, Veronica and Grace

By: VINCE ROBERTS at 07/08/2008 23:43:36
Hello Leo, I wonder if you can help me. My wifes name is Heulwen Roberts (Known as 'Sunny'- Heulwen in English means Sunshine). Back in November, she was admitted to the Royal Gwent hospital having severe back pain. After two weeks she was diagonsed as having a spinal Tumour, and was moved to the University hosptial of Wales, Cardiff. After a few tests, she was also found to have a number of blood clots on her lungs, and these clots were life threating - during this time she also lost the use of her legs. The pain was so bad that the consultants couldn't give her any more morphine, as the dose would kill her. With her consent, they decided to operate to remove the tumour - this was just before Christmas. The consultants talked to us both, and using a scoring system, only gave her a 16% chance of pulling through. I'm pleased to say that the Operation went well and she is now in Rookwood Hospital in Cardiff, learning to stand and walk again. She has done so well, and so proud of her. This is where you come in (if you can). Would it be possible to arrange (or pass this request on ) to send her a signed photograph of James Galway dedicated to Sunny ? I would be most grateful and eternally thankful if you or someone else could arrange this for her. She would be thrilled. It would cheer her up so much and maybe take her mind off the troubles she has had for a few moments? Just in case someone can arrange for this, her address is:- Sunny Roberts, 6 Kipling Road, Caldicot, Monmouthshire, South Wales, NP26 5LG UK Many, many thanks, Vince Roberts

Sorry for more questions Leo, but you did say keep 'em coming, and I will! Well I've been asked how long did you live in America for, and I informed Rosemarie it was at least 4/5 years...have I got that about right please? I also recall it was at The Trubadore Night Club where you once performed out there in the states is that right also? I look forward to hearing from you, and await your replies. Thank you Leo, mate.

The first "pop" concert my wife and I went to was yours, in Adelaide. How do I get you to attend my wife's 60th birthday on 5th January, 2010??

By: CHARLOTTE at 07/08/2008 07:55:49
Leo please can you tell me who was in your band Jester? And please can you clarify that I'm right in saying you were aged 25 when your career really got off the ground, when 'The Show Must Go On was no. 2 in the UK Charts? Thank you, Charlotte

Hi Leo, I am reseaching my family tree and wondered if you were related to my paternal grand parents who had a Halfords bicycle shop in High Wycombe in the early 70's. They had a son, Micheal (my father) who died in the mid sixties when i was very young. Look forward to a reply . Thanks , Mark

Hey Leo! I've been a fan since the "Endless Flight" album in the 70's. I have always wanted to see you live, but have never had the chance. Do you have any plans on coming to the U.S.? Or maybe do an American Idol Show? Your albums and music has really gotten me through some real tough times. Thanks for all the memories, and hope they'll be more to come. There has been a real resurgence of people from the 70's coming back, and I thin k now's your time....I'll be waiting...

I wonder if that's the Pete Thompson who very kindly transported me to Eastleigh especially to see Leo Sayer on Sat 31st July 2004. Is that you Pete Thompson? If it is Hi Pete, and thank you for that. I remember you often dropped me hints as to whether Leo was performing or not. And thank you for the picture disc of Leo Sayer, you very kindly made up for me. I've still got it and have looked at it - great photo's especially of Leo Sayer. I also recall Leo performed with Madeline Bell that night too as well as the FABBA Girls. And especially when he came out and took a sneaky peeping at me whilst Judy Tzuke was singing. Thank you for that as well, Leo Sayer.

Hi Leo Thanks for many years of enjoyment.

By: JACQUI at 04/08/2008 20:11:56
Just remember the other question I was going to ask you Leo. I remember when you presented 10 of your own radio shows on what was our local radio station, Classic Gold. On one of them, you suggested to write a song about you being a DJ on the station. You said a couple of lines off the top of your head and then you didn't think they quite fitted. I am just wondering did you ever attempt to write a song about the time, you were on Classic Gold, or if not do you think you will do?

By: JACQUI at 04/08/2008 20:08:10
Leo, I've got another question you. I know you were with Donatella Piccinetti for 22 years or so, but during the time you were with her, did you learn any Italian? I'm curious to know as its Italian language used in classical music.

By: CATHERINE at 04/08/2008 18:22:27
Many, many years ago I was lucky enough to see you perform at Sydney"s Horden Pavillion. My teenage kids are sick of me telling that story. Lucky for us all you are now living in Aus. Love seeing/hearing more of you. By the way what a great job you did on the Wiggles DVD. Not sure who enjoys it more, me or my younger kids. Well done. Hope to see you at The State Theatre.

Just writing to let you all know, Leo Sayer's brand new album 'Don't Wait Until Tomorrow' is now available here in England, at the following website amazon.co.uk and is priced £19.98pence. I've already got two copies of it, and obtained one through the Australian shop/place that was advertised on Leo's website. I have to say it didn't take long as I thought it may have done before it arrived from Austrailia. I think it was certainly less than 10 days. Its a brilliant album, well done Leo and am looking forward to Leo's re-vamed version of 'Don't Wait Until Tomorrow', I believe he's working on a whole new melody for that song. Yes, I too loved Leo in Big Brother - he made the show really entertaining. Its the only time I've ever watched that programme only because Leo Sayer was in it!

Hi Leo, I've managed to find out how long you've performed musical nights of fun with the SAS Band for - its been since 1994, when the SAS BAND first formed. I'm determined not to be beaten in knowing facts about you mate. Interesting to discover that the leader of the SAS Band whose stage name is Spike or real name, Peter Edney once considered to be the 5th band member of Queen. I guess that's why you sang three Queen song's at the Eastleigh Summer Musical Festival on 31st July, 2004. SAS BAND stands for Spike's All Stars!

Sorry, I don't know about where to obtain Leo Sayer t-shirts from but if you have a photo of Leo, and you buy a plain t-shirt, I think there are some places that will print the photo onto the t-shirt for you but where you would go for that, I'm sorry I don't know but I hope that is of some help to you. The title of the DVD you're referring to is actually titled 'One Night In Sydney' and the other titles of DVD's, yes I can help you with that one. There's LEO SAYER LIVE IN KOREA which is a hard to find one but you could perhaps try searching websites such as amazon.co.uk, ebay, eil.com just to name a few - ebay's a bidding site so becareful with that one as sometimes one doesn't always receive the item they've bidded for even if they've won the highest bid. Other Leo Sayer DVD titles are as follows:-Burt Bacharach And Hal David. (sorry if not quite spelt right) althogh this DVD isn't titled Leo Sayer, I can assure you it certainly features Leo Sayer and is obtainable from amazon.co.uk under Leo Sayer DVD's. I believe he's performing on track number 8 and can tell you he does an execellent little rendition of 'Always Something There To Remind Me', this was recorded at London's Royal Albert Hall, around 2000/1. Leo does a splendid hand movement and perfect timming at the end of the song. Also go to the SASBAND website. I have a feeling there's a DVD obtainable on there featuring Leo Sayer with the SAS Band and he's performing on it the song 'My Generation'. I trust this helps Daisy, and any other Leo Sayer fan out there looking for Leo Sayer dvd's. Charlotte

When I need you was my wife and my theme song in the 70s as she lived in Broken Hill and me in Adelaide. We had a long distance relationship well before the internet. Saw you in Adelaide at Appollo Stadium in late 70s and At Tweed Heads in the 90s .Anyway mate was a great show and keep up the good work. Cheers

Dear Mr Sayer My son is making up a 52 playing card collection of various celebrities including music and sports personalities, TV and film, politicians and authors and many more. I would like to ask whether you would be able to autograph a playing card as it would mean a great deal to him to have your autograph as part of his personal collection. If this is possible, please would you be kind enough to let me have an address that I can send the playing card to. I remain, Yours sincerely Sue Cook

I grew up in the U.S. listening to your music (I was born in 1973). Imagine how surprised I was to pop in the latest Wiggles dvd and see you! Now my 4 year old son can grow up with your music too. Thanks so much. You are sensational!

By: JACQUI at 31/07/2008 23:15:59
Hey Leo, I thought I would evoke this special day and jog your memory by informing you that it is exactly on this date four years ago today that I saw you perform live with the SAS BAND at the Eastleigh Summer Music Festival? It was brilliant, and thank you for coming out during the support act and taking a sneeky peeping at me as I was stood in front row your side of the stage when you performed. I got the message from the chap that was next to me, he saw you looking at me and he stroked the back of my hand. I knew it was you and I found you, we were then looking at each other. Thank you Leo. I remember you spoke to me from the stage too. You were smiling so was I, and I think I gave you one of my 'special Leo Sayer jumps'. I remember you opened up your part by saying 'Good evening Eastbourne'. I responded with 'Oi oi oi, its Eastleigh not Eastbourne'. Then you paused for a moment thinking what else to say then you came out with 'Its good to be back in my home town of Sussex'. I replied, 'Oi oi oi, its shoreham-by-sea, Sussex is the country'. You replied 'Ah alright then', then you burst into your first of three songs that you performed that night. The weather was a scortcher. Hope it won't be long before you're back again. Fondest memories and love, Jacqui.

Hi Leo, I really want you to listen to your song "More than I can say" sung by a Chinese singer. The name is Ah Bao and he won one the biggest singing contest a few years ago in China and has been very popular since. On this page you can listen to the song online (on the left hand side there's a small player plugged in): http://www.66xi.com/html/music/1/72036.htm This song of yours is very popular in China and Taiwan. It has been tranlated into Chinese and sung by so many different singers dozens of years ago.... Enjoy!

Hi Rosemarie, many thanks for your your kind message and for sticking up for me, I am much appreciated. I owe you one for that now. Please allow me to. And of course Leo Sayer's no need to worry about me (under the message with no name attached to it 26/07/08 at 03.06.09) saying that those who were being nasty to me would loose me as a true fan. I can tell you now, Leo will never loose me as a true fan. I'll always support him. I've been a true fan of Leo's ever since 1976 when I was at college. I knew who he was and thought to myself, I'll come back to you later. 21 years after that, I did go back to Leo and I thank Leo also for the happy moments I've been fortunate enough to be with him and those memories will remain with me a life time. Rosemarie, you're very welcome to email me my email address is charlottecoates1@btinternet.com I know its a risky business putting personal info, on here but will risk it and its good to feel I've made a very kind penfriend with you. Thank you Rosemarie, best wishes from Charlotte - Leo Sayer's life long devoted fan.

Hi Leo, It's great to see you doing better than ever after all these years. I have to tell you that my kids love you and they're all under 7, especially after seeing you singing with the wiggles. Now all I hear them singing is 'you make me feel like dancing' at every turn. Their other favourite is your remix of 'thunder in my heart' which they sing as 'I feel fun do with ma hat' All the best Leo.

Hello Rosemarie and welcome! Leo I'm sure now knows who his biggest fans really are. He is the greatest super star. And here's a poem I wrote especially for Leo Sayer, and I presented him a copy of it at Brannigans Night Club in Blackpool on the 14th October 1999. I thought I'd post it on Leo's message board and share it with you all. Its called A LEGEND AND A DJ I recall him from the seventies When I was young and others old You Make Me Feel Like Dancing, Moonlighting, Once a DJ on 774 Classic Gold. Every Sunday From Twelve Till Two, I'd turn on the radio Enjoy another show from my favourite host LEO I've seen him up there on the stage, All his hits he did play, It was an outstanding performance And does a splendid job being DJ. Oh it was a pleasure meeting him, I seemed to know him well, Good times Great oldies he evoked and a story Leo would tell. Can not wait for next Sunday, I wonder what he'll play for me and you, Its Leo Sayer on Classic Gold playing great songs to sing-a-long too. Written and copywrite by Charlotte. Its the only poem I've ever wrote and learnt off by heart. I wonder whether Leo recalls it and me giving it to him?. Leo frightened me, when he broke down in tears but glad he managed to overcome that. The poem was signed under my former married name of Jackie Twine with love and kisses.

Just remembered the name of the place where Leo Sayer played concert in Africa was called 'Sun City'

By: C C at 22/07/2008 22:13:29
Leo played concert in South Africa once or twice and he was in a musical called 'Reaching Out For Africa', performed at London's Royal Albert Hall, I think it was in 2001 if my memory serves me rightly! And also, the lead singer from Boney M also took part in the musical. Trying to think of the name of the place in Africa where Leo went to, I believe it was some time ago in the seventies the first time round and the second time was I think, early 2000's.

Dear Sir/Madam We are a start up business, JKS Entertainment, who are offering a package that we believe no one else does. We think that as fans obviously play a vitally important part of any entertainers’ career that it would be advantageous to both artist and fans alike, if there could be a further cementing of that special relationship between performer and fan. To do this, we propose holding a weekend fan based get together, where the fans can interact with you, not only on a professional basis, but also on a personal level. The itinerary for the weekend would obviously be compiled according to your wishes, taking both your professional and personal likes and dislikes into account. Obviously you would be paid for this weekend, and if you would tell us your standard fee, I’m sure that we could come to an amicable arrangement. We would also offer the opportunity of holding a clinic of your specialism within the local college of music, where you would showcase your talent, and pass on your knowledge to like-minded students. This could be an additional paid activity, but we feel it would be a fabulous start to your weekend. We know that most performers support charities, and by way of an extra thank you, we would make a donation to the charity of your choice, using a percentage of the profits from the weekend get together. All aspects of the get together including your (And your families if applicable) accommodation, food, drink travel and security will be dealt with by JKS Entertainments, which in doing so will give you freedom to relax prior and during the weekend. To advertise this exclusively to your fans, we would request that the advertising would be limited to your website / forums / publications only. This we feel would be beneficial to your true fans, giving them the opportunity to spend a weekend away with you. Obviously, if you wanted broader advertising to be done we would do this with pleasure. If you are interested, could you please reply on info@jks-entertainment.com or call UK 44 (0) 1983 863009 where we will be more than happy to discuss further details. Best regards. James Smith. Hi Leo My sister loves your new CD. Infact I've had to order her two more for friends. You must remember Frances from Bishops Waltham, Southampton. You danced with her at The Mayflower, Southampton in the aisle when she was 7 months pregnant with her daughter. Gemma is now 25. Frankie has been a fan of yours for years along with her friend Pat Lewington. All the best for the Auzzie tour, how about the UK again? When Leo when? Don't forget your loyal fans over here in the UK. Caroline Farmer

Hi Leo, I'm not sure that you did the Rolling Stones cover, but I do know you sang their song 'Alright Now', You sang that at the very first Leo Sayer concert I attended at Cheltenham's Town Hall in 1998. How long does it take you to learn the lyrics of songs whether they're your own songs or another artist/s? You obviously memorize lyrics exceptionally well. Well done Leo. Sorry for all these questions but you did say 'keep 'em coming' and not only that I am curious. I am lead to believe also, you wrote songs for Dolly Parton - please can you tell me what songs you wrote for her were because I have been trying to find them? And that's only because you wrote them. I know also that you wrote a song called 'Woman' for Sir Harry Webb or better known as Cliff Richard. I also thought you were very good at performing Queen's 'Radio Ga Ga' and the other one you did of their's 'We Are The Champions' at Eastleigh in 2004 and Shianna Twain's number at Branigans night club in Blackpool, in 1999 -'Man Feels Like A Woman'. Am also amazed to find out with watching one of your video's online that you also play the Banjo. You are an incredible man of many talents, and I believe you should use them all. I know you play keyboards, harp and it would be good to see you use those wonderful talents of yours live on stage too. Would you ever consider putting a musical on stage/DVD etc like ABBA have done?

Leo, do you know a guy called John Nichols? I am lead to believe he's a friend of your friend Damon Hill. Leo's original song is 'Why Is Everybody Going Home' - that was Leo's first single out but it wasn't a hit. Thank you Leo for answering my queries, you made my day too - and since you still very kindly told me about 'Happy Hour', I have discovered the lyrics on the Internet. I agree with you, you would have had a big hit with that one too and again, sorry I caught you on a sore point on that one, Leo. It would be good if your 'Evening Tour' does get taken round the world.

Hi Leo. My wife and I have seen nearly every show you have played in Adelaide and we have front row centre seats at the Entertainment Centre in November. I have loved the last 2 albums. I thought Voice In My Head was brilliant. Whilst the new versions of the classics are brilliant, tell me we will have the opportunity to get up and dance in Adelaide. I am sure youy know that at the hight of your career you sold more albums in Adelaide per head of population than anywhere else in the world. Andrew and Mary.

Hi Leo. Thanks for answering my previous question. It made my day!!!!! I was just wondering if you have any plans to re mix your back catalogue in 5.1. i can just imagine songs like endless flight and thunder in my heart in surround. Heaven! also, you were in my home town of Mullingar in Ireland visiting a friend a few years ago and my cousin met you and got you to phone me on my mobile. But I was in work and couldn't answer.i had no idea it was you! I was gutted!!!I would love to see you live and possibly meet you afterwards if possible. Anyway, hope to see you soon.bye for now.

Hi Leo, just wondering.....I guess your already workong on your concert and song inclusions, I love your new CD and play it in my car and home. Can I expect to hear some of the original versions of your songs like in previous concerts? I imagine you will take us on a journey from start to finish, but this is going to be a challenge for you to present more layed back Leo. Your new sound suits intimate mode, ie like Elton John recently did in the Barossa Valley. If I can be of any assistance, I have two degrees and super keen :)

Hey Leo, you're always welcome you are. Its lovely to be part of you and being interested in what you are doing, and in all the music too. Oh sorry, if I've got to make you think over some points, and asked you good questions. I can see you're up for the challenge, which is brilliant. Well done Leo.I will definitely keep them coming in for you. Thank you Leo. I'm appreciated you give us all the opportunity to get to you and your music. Its brilliant we're able to communicate with our favourite super star too. So glad you had this idea of us Leo Sayer fans, asking you a question. Thank you for answering my queries, and sorry, I caught you on a sore point regarding ' Happy Hour'. I can tell you, you were no fool singing it on Big Brother. That's where I heard you singing a few lines of it in falsetto - sorry its out of your hands now. What I can't understand is, I do not know who's idea it was for you to go into Big Brother - because its just not your kind of show, I don't think. However, it is brilliant to know that you'll have a longer story to tell with your book. If you would like any help with anything, I'll help you out. Oh yes, I do have another question for you. I almost posted it yesterday but wasn't sure whether I would have been too late with it. So here it is - Where did you get the idea of the title 'Voice In My Head' from? Is it some spiritual connection, or is it because there's both songs from the past you've written on the album as well as new ones? I look forward to your answer the next time you answer our Leo Sayer queries. Thank you Leo, from your lifelong friend and fan, Jacqui

Hi Leo, I am responding to Helen's very kind message. I'm also responding to you too, Leo - Thank you Helen, for your very kind wishes too. Yes, Helen and I do have special memories of Leo Sayer. Yahoo, Leo, Leo, Leo, Leo always excites me. Its Jackie, jumpy jumper jumpers again! My maiden name was originally North-Coates. I was Twine, when married but then after 16 yrs, Phill and I divorced four years ago, in 2004. Phill has in the past asked me if Leo knows we're divorced. I told him, yes I think he does. Sorry to Leo, and Helen if I've confused you of my name changes. Leo would probably remember me as Jackie. I sometimes spell it the French way, Jacqui - and recently, I changed my name to Charlotte. I also wonder whether you saw my response to your request Leo on a Brighton And Hove website, when you asked if anyone has any info on the Kings Hotel fire in Brighton? I'm pretty certain you reckognized it was me, who was called Jackie. Sorry for any confusion. I'm happy for Leo also Helen, to call me either Jackie/Charlotte, which ever one of those Leo wishes to, and Helen, you're welcome to. My surname changed after divorce. I changed it to Coates. Also thanks to Leo, this is a lovely way of meeting new people who have a like-minded interest in our hero, Leo Sayer. Leo Sayer's certainly my hero, that is for sure!!

Hi Leo, I understand its hard and time consuming when it comes to writing an autobiography and its a shame, you're not persuing it. I understand . I was so looking forward to a Leo Sayer book published and out in the shops. I often wondered how you were getting on with your book with a proposed title of 'Giving It All Away'. Have I remembered that right? I for one would have purchased a copy of it, and I'd have soon had my head stuck in a Leo Sayer book. Would you like me to help you write a Leo Sayer biography? I was the one who gave you a poem I wrote especially for you called 'A Legend And A DJ'. That's the only poem I've written, and learnt off by heart - cos you're always in my heart.....Jacqui

Hi Leo, I love your voice, you can reach the notes that others can only dream of. Thought I’d get a quick question in. Have you heard the song Pots of Gold by “Mama’s Gun”? (You can key “Mama’s Gun Gold” into YouTube to hear it). I hope you don’t think I’m being cheeky, but I really think that your voice would suit it. It could be your next Rhythm and Blues Grammy ; )

Hi Leo, I'd like to ask you - What happened to the song you wrote titled 'Happy Hour'? I heard you sing snippets of it on the Celebrity Big Brother show it sounded brilliant. Are you still going to release it at all or not? And do you remember meeting a 'little one' in a red coat in 1998, and a 'little one' in just a dress, in 1999, which was the second time we met? And a 3rd time at Eastleigh when you performed 3 songs with your musical friends the SAS Band at Eastleigh in July 2004? It was me, Jacqui. I also met your then fanclub manager, Alan Sutton when we were in Blackpool. Do you still hear from him at all? I'm also curious to know how your friend, Jill Davies, and I came into contact? We often correspond by email and have on the odd occasion spoken on the phone. I too applaud you, Leo for sticking up for your rights in the CBB show. I can't understand who decided to put you in that show, its just not one, I don't think you'd consider going in. Its the one and only time I've ever watched that show purely to only watch you in all the episodes of it you were in. Well done Leo!

Hi Leo, that's an interesting one - Paul asking about any plans to release a DVD of your old tv appearances. I remember when I was in your fan club which was ran by Alan and Jane Sutton, that I had asked about that, and I believe Alan and Jane did look into it by contacting various places but said that if the main tapes of those recordings were not found, they would sadly be lost forever. I too would love to see them, and I wonder whether there's any possibility that the Shepherds Bush Empire may happen to own the rights of those recordings? Being that it was at that venue where your musical journey all set off from? Also is there any possibility of the making of 'Don't Wait Until Tomorrow', and 'Voice In My Head' can be released on DVD too ? it would be lovely to have a copy of those as well!

Hi Leo! Just wanted to say how much I love your song Rely On Me, one of your best songs ever! Also wanted to ask, do you have any plans on releasing World Radio remaster? As there was a picture for it inside your other remasters but I haven't seen it released yet. And I would also like to ask about a project back in '83 you were working on with Alan Tarney, you said it was supposed to be your 'Sgt Pepper', what happened to this album?
